Cherokee Gun Club offers young individuals and youth groups the opportunity to experience the shooting sports of their choice using some of the finest shooting venues available in Georgia. These private facilities are offered at very low cost for the express purpose of introducing young people to the fun and excitement of shooting sports, in a safe, all-weather, outdoor environment.
We typically shoot on the third weekend of each month (see the calendar below) with a planned maximum of 20 shooters. Individuals can usually show up and shoot, but advance notice is highly preferred. To assure space for everyone, groups of 3 or more must make reservations in advance. If your youth group is larger than 15 shooters, then special dates or times may be required. Shooting space for groups of 3 or more is reserved on a “first come, first served” basis.
CGC is able to offer facilities for .22 rifle, center-fire rifle, trap, skeet, sporting clays, and other shooting sports with responsible adult coaching. We also have a covered picnic pavilion with seating for 60 and other amenities to make your outing a success. Call us for more information. And thanks for visiting !
Special Note: We get lots of contacts from parents looking for shooting teams. The CGC Youth Program is simply a venue. However we are in contact with and host lots of north Georgia youth teams. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to share our contact list.
Our program meets once each month. Simply bring your gun(s), ammo, eye and ear protection, and parent (or guardian) to the Clubhouse. We welcome individuals (walk-in) and youth groups of any size (40 day notice). Due to our excellent facilities, you’ll be able to shoot rain or shine.
