Wow! What a Day! Andrew Wasely, Mark Williams and Bill LaPointe started the day off at the clubhouse at 6:30AM to get set up for the 2nd Annual 1st Lt. Bob Honiball Toys For Tots Trap Shoot. The weather was not particularly co-operative, but we were able to set up several covered areas to stage through and we did have some dryer periods. A good crowd had assembled, and after a brief welcome and thank you to the attending Veterans we began our flag ceremony by members of the White County Color Guard, Tom Bardenwerper and Thomas Dyer. CGC member Walt Sippel played Colors on the trumpet while the Color Guard raised the United States and USMC flags. John Quinn played the Marine Corps Hymn on the bagpipes after the flags were raised. USMC Recruiting Sgt. Humberto Alaniz also came by to thank us and visit. The cake was cut by Marine Sgt. Thomas Dyer and Tom Barderwerper, using Bob Honiball’s official USMC Officers Sword that had been gifted to CGC by Bob’s wife.

This year we had corporate and private sponsorships available and the following companies and individuals donated at least $100 as sponsors. Most of the shooting disciplines donated the proceeds of one of their monthly matches to this event and that was greatly appreciated.

The club raised $6,687 for Toys For Tots.  All the associated expenses with the event were covered by Bart Crowford and Andrew Wasely. This is a really worthwhile project and we appreciate everyone who helped and donated

This will be an annual event and we intend to do better each year. Thank you all again.
